Three Years of Sägen Film — and a New Member Joins the Crew!

This month marked our anniversary: it's been three years since Sägen Film was officially founded on May 6th, 2022! What started as a small group of passionate filmmakers has grown into a creative collective that continues to explore Nordic folklore, horror, and the art of storytelling through film. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has followed, supported, and collaborated with us over the years — we wouldn't be here without you!

We’re also excited to officially welcome our seventh member: production designer Alexander Svensson!Alexander has been an essential part of our team since Yule Cat, and we're thrilled to now have him on board as an official member of Sägen. His visual craftsmanship and eye for atmosphere play a huge part in bringing our films to life. Make sure to give him a warm welcome!

Last but not least, we want to extend a special thank you to Varbergs kommun for supporting Sägen Film with operational funding two years in a row. Your support helps us keep doing what we love — telling stories that haunt, inspire, and stay with you.
